The Solar industry is proposing a one for one net tariff solar scheme as a sustainable long term solution to the current solar crisis.
A One for One net tariff will see clean solar power paid at the same rate as we currently pay for coal fired power from the grid. This is a FAIR price that will secure a sustainable long term approach for the solar industry.
So in summary we want the government to make energy providers pay customers the same amount for the solar power that they charge customers to buy power. So if you buy electricity for $0.20/kWh then we want you to be paid $0.20/kWh for the power you sell back to them, not $0.06/kWh that they currently pay new customers.
